Electricity meters and power-monitoring modules measure supported electrical values at the chosen point. Channel count, phase arrangement, current range, transformer requirements, accuracy class and communication must match the distribution design.

Water and gas meters provide supported volume or pulse data where pipe size, medium, flow range, installation orientation and local approval are suitable. Energy data collectors aggregate compatible field measurements for onward use. Smart circuit breakers combine selected monitoring or switching functions, but protective rating, isolation, coordination and code compliance remain electrical-engineering decisions.

Decide whether the project needs a building total, tenant allocation, room view, major-load measurement or equipment-level diagnosis. Document the source of truth for tariffs, occupancy, floor area and operating schedules if those contexts will be used later. The meter point and naming plan determine whether the resulting data can answer an operational question.

Installation should be designed and carried out by appropriately qualified personnel. Include isolation, enclosure, conductor or pipe requirements, communications, time synchronization and safe maintenance access.
