Electronic modules, precision lock bodies, biometric components, power solutions and evaluation kits can shorten the path from concept to validated product while drawing on KEYPLUS engineering and manufacturing experience.
Components for different stages of work
PCBAs may provide selected lock, credential, communication or control functions within a compatible product design. Electrical, mechanical, firmware and regulatory requirements must be reviewed together.
Mortises and lock bodies determine much of the mechanical fit and door behavior. Backset, centres, latch and bolt arrangement, handing, spindle, escape function, material and cycle requirements belong in the specification.
Biometric modules can add a supported enrollment and verification method when the host product, interface, user population, privacy requirements and environmental conditions are suitable. Batteries require the correct chemistry, voltage, form, protection, storage and service plan.
Installation accessories complete a defined mounting or wiring condition. Development kits support engineering evaluation; demo kits support controlled demonstration. Neither should be assumed to carry the same readiness, enclosure or approvals as a released finished product.
What a development brief should contain
Describe the target product, market, user, annual or project volume, required functions, industrial-design constraints, power budget, communications, host interfaces, environmental conditions, compliance targets and ownership expectations. Identify which elements are standard, configurable or new.
The project plan should separate evaluation samples, engineering prototypes, design verification, certification units and production. Changes to mechanics, radio, antenna, biometric method, battery or firmware can affect testing and approvals.
Manage compatibility by part and revision
Accessories and modules should reference compatible product families, drawing or interface revisions and approved substitutes. Record firmware and hardware versions for development kits. For service parts, define packaging, storage, shelf life where relevant and traceability.

Possible cooperation depends on the intended function, host design, volume, firmware, interfaces, certification, support and ownership. Begin with a technical brief.
Is every mortise compatible with every lock front?
No. Mechanical dimensions, movement, sensors, spindle, handing and firmware expectations must match.
Can a biometric module be evaluated with our own device?
An interface and sample evaluation may be possible after electrical, mechanical, data, privacy and performance requirements are reviewed.
What is the difference between a development kit and a demo kit?
A development kit supports engineering access and integration work. A demo kit presents a controlled use case. Exact contents and support vary by kit.
